Work is underway on the $1.8 billion Frisco Station next to the new Dallas Cowboys headquarters at The Star in Frisco
This is the first lifestyle hotel campus of its kind in North Texas and it will officially get underway with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.
The four-brand, 600-room hotel campus at the northwest area of the Dallas North Tollway and Warren Parkway is also the largest project to date for Lewisville-based NewcrestImage, a four-year-old, privately-owned hotel development group.
The new hotel campus, which also includes a Canopy by Hilton, will help anchor The Hub in Frisco Station, which is the centerpiece for the mixed-use development and will include more than 200,000 square feet of restaurants and bars at build-out.
"Our four hotels at Frisco Station will dramatically raise the bar for how we make guests comfortable and how our guests make memories," said NewcrestImage Chairman and CEO Mehul Patel, in June, when the campus was originally announced.
At full build-out, Frisco Station will include more than 5 million square feet of office and corporate campus, as well as 2,400 urban apartments and townhouse.
Hillwood, VanTrust Real Estate and The Rudman Partnership are the developers behind the mixed-use project.
The first hotel rooms are expected to be delivered in 2018.
